Big Nothing  (2006)

To be honest, i really wasn't expecting anything from this film. It had a few bad reviews when it came out so i didn't bother with the cinema. It's Simon Pegg though for god's sake, so i couldn't just ignore it. I've gotta say it's a much better film than I thought it'd be. Pegg's American con-man, Gus, is a little hard to swallow at first, not because the accent is bad (it really isn't) but it's Pegg in a whole new light. After a while you forget about it and enjoy the movie. David Schwimmer is great - he doesn't overplay his character - in fact he plays a surprisingly less wired part than you might expect. He's actually quite cool - essentially, he's the hero! A loser, mind.. I may be on my own with this one but I think it's definitely worth a watch. Yes it's like Fargo but it takes itself a lot less seriously. It's very dark and at times very funny with a great soundtrack featuring Rammstein and none other than the man himself, Karl Jenkins! Don't expect Shaun of the Dead or Spaced, don't expect anything - this is not a Simon Pegg movie, it's a movie starring Simon Pegg, there's a big difference! Just watch it and see what happens...

A patchy black comedy with delusions of Fargo. The plot involving blackmail, murder and double-crossing is farcical, but altogether the film is not quite funny enough to pull it off, although there are a couple of laugh-out-loud moments. It's watchable enough, but if you don't watch it, you aren't missing much.

I agree with a previous reviewer, it does definately have a Fargo like element, but it is (intentionally) much more slapstick and humerous. Fargo is great, and this is the same... in its own way.... It's not the worst hour and a half I've ever spent, and I would say it is definately worth a rent when it is out on DVD. The slapstick is not too slapdash and it does what it does really well. A good bit of light fun.

The film is about a man who meets someone at work and they decide to con a vicar out of his money, but things don't go according to plan. The acting was ok, the story was ok, but I feel it has been done before. They were a few good bits, but on a whole the movie plodded along to the end and made for an 1 1/2 of easy viewing.

For all the unrelenting derision heaped upon Guy Ritchie in the fallout of his rather terse epoch, time has subsequently revealed what a diligent tightrope he was walking in his brief heyday. This is the second notable US-set replication of his misanthropic, helter-skelter style brand of blackly comic crime caper (the first being Barry Sonnenfeld's diabolical Big Trouble) and it is every bit as cack-handed as that earlier film. Self-consciously stirring in textbook 'likeable' suburban shmucks for the benefit of American multiplex audiences (which fundamentally throws everything off-kilter) this escalating blend of wise-ass dialogue (which almost certainly read better on the page and simply doesn't translate to the screen) and who-the-hell-cares plot twists, results in a film that lives up to its title in truly prodigious fashion. An empty, derivative mess, featuring performances that don't so much curdle as implode and then perish, this is a flat, forgettable bunch of filthy arse. Avoid it, even if you do dig Simon Pegg enough to rent it in the first place.

if you dont expect the simon pegg funnyness from the film you will enjoy it, it does have a few funny moments but the plot is all the more Intriguing. give it a chance

At first glance this looks like it should be a massive hit but then it seems to drag a little. But given time this movie takes some great twists and turns and ends up a good movie - check it out.

After watching this film I can see why there wasn't much publicity about it when it came out! All the actors struggle with the lines and the plot is somewhat weird. If you want to watch a film where the 3 leads are dead/going to die after fighting over the money, see Shallow Grave, which frankly is a much better film than this. For serious Simon Pegg fans only, otherwise don't bother!

I enjoyed this movie, it's got some good twists and turns (maybe a few too many for it's own good). Pegg and Schwimmer have good chemistry. The script is above average. It's a strange hybrid of Shallow Grave and Fargo, but is certainly more in the Coen black-comedy ilk. It moves along at a entertaining pace and the characters are well fleshed-out. It's not superb but it's decent enough. It's also worth pointing out that the soundtrack is phenomenal, I can't remember the last time a soundtrack was so fitting for the film material.

Honestly, you sit down on a Sunday night to watch a Simon Pegg/ David Schwimmer film to laugh your head off before work the next day and you end up confused and slightly disgusted. What a ridiculous story. How horrible to knowingly kill a diabetic by making them eat the biggest lollipop ever? Who was the unpleasant person who wrote this? The best part were the dvd extras. The cast went round as themselves filming each other - this was funny.

I only took a punt on this movie because I enjoyed the interview that the 2 stars did on the Jonathon Ross show, but I'm glad that I did. Lots of twists and turns, surprises, and some funny moments too. Well worth watching.

I watched it only because David Schwimmer was in it and I hadn't seen much of him since Friends, I didn't expect much as had never heard of it before, but it was surprisingly good. The plot a bit complicated, but I laughed aloud quite a bit at situations 3 main characters got themselves them in. Would like to see more of David Schwimmer in this kind of movie.

I'd heard that Big Nothing was little more than average and that Pegg's American accent was terrible. Neither could be further from the truth. What I found was a brilliantly scripted and acted flick, which reminds me of a David Mamet flick, within it's ability to turn sharply left when you expect it to drift right. Pegg's acting and accent is fabulous, Schwimmer proves he's more than Ross and Alice Eve shows incredible promise. Highly entertaining!

How did Simon Pegg manage to get involved in this? Truly abysmal. I nearly turned it off after 40 minutes!

I'm a fan of Simon Pegg and I loved 'Spaced', 'Shaun Of The Dead' and 'Hot Fuzz', so I thought I was going to like this one too, but I absolutely hated it, so much so that I switched off half way through! I wouldn't bother wasting your rental on this one folks!

Is it Spaced? No Is it F.R.I.E.N.D's? No. It's not even Run, Fatboy, Run. However that doesn't stop the Big Nothing from being a fun and enjoyable film. It's not over long, it doesn't get bogged down with plot, everything has its purpose. For every twist you see coming, there are eight or nine more that blow you away. It's not oscar worthy, it's not going to win anyone any awards, but if you want a quiet night in, and have a laugh along the way, this is a great film. Simon Pegg's American accent is amazing!

I very nearly gave up on this at the 30 minute mark as could not see it getting better. So glad I did as it sets off into an extremely funny final hour. Very good and Alice Eve been easy on the eyes adds to it.

Maybe I expected too much because I'm a huge fan of 'Spaced', but I was a little disappointed. It is a very gruesome story, and it has too many odd coincidences and too few jokes that work. I think they relied on the bizarre and violent happenings to make it funny, but I don't think they do.

this film didnt capture me AT ALL! the story line just got so silly I just couldt take it seriously!! Im sorry to admit, I couldnt even be bothered to see it through and turned it off!!

This movie has the right title meaning the big nothing is what it is. This movie should have been good film with the talented acters and actress but it doesn't even class as alright film it is just bad.

Wasn't expecting much and didn't get disappointed! Worth a watch if you haven't got anything else to do....As usual Simon Pegg made it worthwhile to watch, but definitely not his best...

It was a long time ago that I saw this film last but I remember it being one of the best films I'd seen in a long time. seems a lot of people were expecting a Simon Pegg/Edgar Wright film and I can see why you'd be disappointed if that's what you were lining yourself up for, I think it's great to see some versatility in his acting though. Schwimmer and Pegg are brilliant together and the plot keeps you guessing right the way through. I'd agree, the idea is much like Fargo in some respects but this is much faster paced and thus much more entertaining.

I think most the other reviewers have pretty much said it, but I will add to it by saying 'Very Bad Things' from '98 with Chrisitan Slater except that was darker than this. Simon Pegg was as good as always and Schwimmer was a perfect foyle. I did seem to know what was about to happen early on when it was being comical, but as the film progresses the comedy eases and the darkness sets in which threw me slightly (I am pleased to say). This is what you want from entertainment, an hour and half (no more) to fly by with a few laughs.

If you like a bit of mindless slapstick violence, with the usual Simon Pegg edge, you will like this.

Asking for trouble with a title like that, but this is actually a reasonably amusing black comedy with David Schwimmer, Simon Pegg and Alice Eve teaming up to fleece a reverend, a scheme that spirals crazily out of control. It loses its way a bit towards the middle but it's nicely played, suitably dark and has some neat offbeat touches (Mimi Rogers's cameo is a killer). Strangely, it was filmed on the Isle of Man, convincingly doubling up for Oregon.

WE WERN'T EXPECTING MUCH FROM OTHER REVIEWS, BUT FOUND THIS VERY AMUSING WITH A QUIRKY STORYLINE.

Well put together little movie with Simon Pegg, Natasha Mcelhone and the lovely Alice Eve affecting passable american accents in a knockabout crime farce that gets sillier but more involving at every stage. Schwimmer on the other hand is the straight man who is difficult to like or empathise with, making him the weak link in this chain. It would have been far more likeable for this 'British movie', (filmed on IOM, in Wales and Canada) to have dispensed with the American veneer and allowed Pegg and Eve +1 to really have fun in a British movie. Plenty of twists (too many?) but a nice little date movie. Probably worth renting it for the Pegg-cam extras alone (take that George Lucas).

found this to be better than i first thought. had quite a lot of twists and turns throughout. some i expected others out of the blue. simon pegg was excellent in this as was david scwimmer. was refreshing to see them both playing characters with a darker side. think this gave them an edge that the director was looking for. on the whole enjoyed this. will want to watch it again though just to satisfy my curiosity.

Great cast great film although I have yet to be dissapointed in anything Simon Pegg has done so far. Like all other reviewers there is a similarity to Fargo but hey so what Fargo was another great film. There are so many twists and turns in this one I could not work out the ending bedforehand which is pretty unusual so I recommend you give this one a try as there are some really funny moments in it as well.

This film never really got going for me. Was ok, but that is about it. Ending was the best part.

An american accent. Some can. Some cant. Simon Pegg can, but he shouldn't have bothered. It still grates. This is a poor movie. It shouldn't be but it is. The music sucks too. Tiresome.

This is film is like marmite u either like it or dont . I loved it and thought it was funny anybody who is a fan of Mr Pegg should give it a look some bits were hillarious and some not so funny David Schwimmer plays Ross from friends basically a character he can do in his sleep which ruins it a bit.

This film is a wicked laugh out loud comedy! I am a follower of Simon Pegg as I love all his stuff and thought that him teamed up with David it would be a match made in heaven and i was right! :) This is a really good twist and turn comedy and everything that could go wrong does go wrong!The beginning sequence in the call centre is absolutly hilarious!!! Watch if you like Simon Pegg or if you just want to laugh out loud on many many seperate occasions!

Only really got this movie because I'm a big fan of Simon Pegg from his days on the television series 'Big Train', 'Spaced' & his more recent hit movies. Wasn't ecpecting a lot and as is the case when a film hasn't been over hyped it actually turned out to be pretty enjoyable, apart from Pegg's dodgy american accent. Really cannot understand when they do this, why not let an actor keep his native accent and work the story around it rather than make them look stupid putting on an accent that is quite obviously false. Back to the film.........Good story with lots of twists and a few laugh out loud moments (well for me anyway), and a nice twist that I had forgotten about at the end of the film. Good film that I would certainly recommend and indeed watch again in the future.

i did expect more from this film, and it was a little slow to get started, but once it was rolling, some very funny scene's, sharp jokes and funny twists

An ok movie. A bit comparable to Severance though nowhere near as good. Funny with a tint of tragedy. I would see it again, maybe.

Ooh where to begin ! Sorry guys but the title says it all - its only 81 minutes long but i fell asleep twice whilst watching this opus.On the third time of watching i stayed awake - big mistake . Film meanders along with Schwimmer proving that there is no life after Friends ! He was so annoying and simon pegg must have been well paid to do this . Storyline sucked and what was the point of the lady cop ? Got the feeling that 20 minutes of film is lying somewhere waiting to be included as a special edition/directors cut this might explain the fact that the movie seems to end so quickly with quite a few loose ends ! Like why did Schwimmer's character want to know what the poison was dissolved in ? Then say nothing more despite being annoyingly talkative throughout the movie. Sorry but like i said at the start the title says it all

After reading the reviews I wasnt sure what to expect & I put it on mid afternoon to pass some time, Happy 2 say I really enjoyed it & was pleasantly surprised, had a feel of Christian Slaters 'Very bad things' to it. I'd def reccomend.... Enjoy

This is actually quite a funny film, lots of twists and turns and Pegg and Schwimmer worked well together. It's not split your sides comedy but it had me chuckling all the way through.

I wish i hadnt seen this movie. Being a HUGE Simon Pegg fan, he was the only reason i rented this movie. Assuming it would follow the classic comedy of Spaced, Shaun of the Dead etc, i was hugely disappointed. Weak plot with nothing to really get you gripped. This has tainted the almighty image that i had of Simon Pegg, if you love his work then did watch this one!

Very disappointing. It was all over the place. I just could not get interested in any of the characters and it was if they borrowed bits from other movies to make this. The film was grainy and annoying and I was unable to persevere until the end. Would not recommend!!

A lot of people have been rubbishing this film. I actually really liked it. The storyline is similar to one of Chaucer's. As long as you don't expect to much, you'll enjoy it.

Just like to point out this film should'nt be compared to shallow grave but to me is equally enjoyable nor will it have you rolling around the sofa in laughter like Sean of the Dead and Hotfuzz. But I liked this film alot good black humour and great twists kept surprising me throughout, never felt like switching it off or even looking out of the window at that matter.

Opted for this film as saw a fair bit of coverage on the movie when it was released and am a Simon Pegg fan. Was good to see Pegg in a non-Pegg type film and role, was good to see Schwimmer put in a good performance trying to break his tv actor mould, was good dark humour - so dark in places it was pitch black! So now I should be listing the bad parts of the film - well the film isn't bad it is just not that memorable either. Pegg's accent was difficult to get used too, the plot twisted a few times but was not clever enough to be considered a 'twist' movie, the only character that has a bit of depth to it is Schwimmer's(which he does well), the female lead's story could have been developed more and had more screen time devoted to it! Some of the scenes and consequences seemed rushed and forced - whilst this is under 90 minutes it does seem to drag in places .... Definetly not a usual Pegg film

Take a chance on this and you will more likely then not, enjoy this slickly paced amusing crime romp with a fantastic cast and fairly stylish direction. The film flys by with no dull moments in memory, with a whole slew of twists, turns and characters to keep you interested. The less you know about the film before watching, the better. Extra features are on the same disc as the movie, include Simon Pegg cam diary, another short camera piece called 'The Truth About Simon Pegg', and a Making Of. Well worthy of one of your disc allocations and 80 minutes of your time.

I got this cos I'm a huge Simon Pegg fan even though I hate David Schwimmer. It was the oddest thing. I was expecting Pegg to be hilarious. He wasn't...he was less funny and darker than usual - it was a treat. A complete surprise even though the laughs were fewer. I was expecting Schwimmer to be his usual crap, big screw-up self that I hate so much. He was and it worked brilliantly. I don't know who the girl is but she was cool too. More plot than a farmer. Rent it !!!

Sounds great doesn't it? But you just end up feeling queezy. What must have seemed like a great idea for all involved ends up feeling like a waste of what could have been a really good night. There's a lot of talent here. And several fantastic moments. But the pace, the tone, the basic rules of good storytelling and the consistency of quality material are all so wonky it flails around in it's own mess until... No matter how much you want it to work you just end up wanting it to stop. If you're a Spaced head you'll watch this eventually anyway, or if you're someone who hankers for a mixture of Shallow Grave via Very Bad Things vingettes which would work on YouTube as a serial but don't quite hang together as a film, you could be tempted (but let me add you must be very odd indeed). Time spent in front of Big Nothing will have you feeling 'meh!' come the credits, just like I did.

I only put this on my list as i like Simon Pegg but when i realised he was doing an american accent i was a bit put off. Anyhow it came, i watched it and really liked it. Lots of twists some you see some you dont but its only 80 mins and an enjoyable film

Not exactly the type of film you'd expect to find leading stars David Schwimmer and Simon Pegg in! Nevertheless, it is a brilliant film - with a dark side

It's hard not to compare a film starring Simon Pegg to Hot Fuzz, as is trying not to compare Schwimmer to his acting in Friends. However, with their combined skills, they play on top form and portray their characters perfectly As far as the story goes, it's fantastic, twisting and turning at every chance it gets which is the real comedic value of this film. Alot of subtle jokes fly past, which makes it a joy to watch again and again, where as the main plot is an intense whirlwind, keeping the laughs up whilst keeping you on the edge of you seat. The script perhaps could of been paced a bit quicker, but that only sets the mood for the events. As opposed to the main actor's former projects, it is extremely dark and at some points slightly disturbing (only slightly), but that shouldn't put you off at all. The voilence is alike to the gory moments in Hot Fuzz, which provide the most laughs. This is obviously an overlooked film, it clearly deserves alot more attention. Definetly not one to miss.

This is one for a Sunday night,when you just want to chill out after a weekend of a few too many swift one's.....& it wont hurt your brain!....easy watching,funny in parts,but the story line could have been a lot better....one of those films where the best laid plans just have to go tits up,bigtime!....worth a look....just!.....

The plot twists and turns more than a rollercoaster which keeps the film moving fast but can become overdone. Simon Pegg once again shows great acting skills and Ross!! is equally great. Good fun with enough Sean of The Dead style gore to keep you entertained.

A typical black comedy/ sitcom that pulls it off quite nicely. This fim is nothing new, the story is a mix of ill conceived plans and unforntunate happenings. I found it really funny, despite it being rather obvious (which, to be honest, is fine in a film genre such as this). The short running time is also another plus in my books, much longer and you would get tired of this kind of film i think.

This was the worst film I have seen in a long time, an opinion shared by my entire flat. I actually resorted to reading the paper. Really, really, really bad. Every plot line, narrative twist were just old hat tricks and the whole flick just lacked intelligence and genuine humour. I can understand David Swimmer doing something this bad but Simon Pegg, oh how the mighty have fallen. Rating wise I give it, well a BIG NOTHING.

Well, this was well-paced with some great acting and some great sparky lines particularly from the leads.....wonderful characters throughout and a twisty story helped along by the cop wife to keep you guessing what could possibly happen next..... what an imagination dreamt this up !! I would have given it five stars but for slight disappointment with the ending.

Well i`m a big fan of Simon Pegg and was intrigued how this film was going to work with Sir Pegg working alongside David Schwimmer (however you spell his name!!) but was really suprised at how well it worked. The plot was really well thought of and worked well, Loads of laughs even without Nick Frost!!! This film could of been easily ruined by throwing an enormous budget at it and was kept simple and effective focusing mainly on the story and all of its brilliant twists. Well worth a watch.

The film had real potential and looked as though it was going to deliver,unfortunatley it tailed off and just got a little silly with too many plots running at the same time. One thing you have to say is that Simon Pegg is given the best lines and he delivers them well.

I was expecting this film to be bad. It's got a silly storyline, but for some reason I actually did quite like it. Don't get up any hopes or expectations for this film, and you may just enjoy it. Makes easy viewing.

In view of the cast and their previous performances I think I was expecting a good dark comedy full of big jokes and non stop laughter.

Unfortunately this movie is something else.

There is a bit of comedy in this movie but is certainly not very subtle ( Spaced fans are likely to be disappointed ).I was not very impressed with the direction as a similar plot (branch of low lives trying to hit it big and get some cash )has been attempted before ( welcome to Collingwood ) with much better results.

Simon Pegg does an American accent which does not sound very nice and David Schwimmer performance is rather wooden , the best characters in the movie are Alice Eve and Natasha McElhone.

In summary consider it for a rental but do not expect very much.

One of Simon Pegg's weaker films. I am writing this review some weeks after watching it. The impression the movie made was so minimal that I had to look up the synopsis to remember anything about it. Once my memory was jogged, I recollected that the film was neither good nor bad - it was, sort of , OK - a bit like the title. I guess on paper the script looked good and had potential, but unfortunately the film neither develops into a farce or a serious item.

If, like me, you thought this film would be interesting simply to see Simon Pegg's performance, then forget it. In its sheer awfulness, this film shows just how good the Coen brothers are. Clearly, darkly comic crime capers are easy to get badly, badly wrong. Here is the proof. Just steer clear. The time spent watching this film would be better used doing literally anything else.

Storyline was a bit random but the film was hilarious! And watch the Pegg Cam thing on the extras, it's so funny. Great film! :D

As other people have said, I was not expecting this film to be anything spectacular. Or watchable even. But, as others have also said, it's Simon Pegg! I love Spaced, Shaun, Hot Fuzz, Run Fatboy so I thought sod it! Rent it! Bosh! This film captured me right from the very start. The acting is great, Simon's usa Gus accent is great, and the writing.... well, the storyline and plot are intriguing. Twists and turns. There are laughs here, not in a Spaced way, but in a more undercover way. I would recommend this movie 100% If you love a good Simon film or mystery you will love this! J

short and definitely sweet very clever , very funny and very bloody it is a great , tongue in cheek watch it packs so much in to 85 minutes and there are a few twists and turns rent it you won't be dissappointed

We enjoyed this film, and might watch it again, because the humour is so dry, and when the perfect idea for a blackmailing scam goes awry, it does so with maximum effect, and after every 'it can't get worse' incident, it has a habit of getting much worse, occasionally very funnily. Turned out to be better than expected.

I didn't think too much of this film. I really like Pegg and Schwimmer, but they seemed a bit mis-cast in this film. It was OK and watchable, but just not as good as I thought.

simon pegg is on top form in this one mad story line that just gets madder as it goes on i will be buying this one

An interesting film, it is weird and does not seem to end... however when it does it is a touching finish to a surreal film. This is Ok but i would not rush to watch it again.

I probably expect more from Simon Pegg after Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. However this is still very funny and well worth renting.

David Schwimmer does his usual 'Ross from Friends' thing. Simon Pegg has a dodgy American accent. Doesn't sound great but I actually really enjoyed this slightly slapstick, blackmail-gone-wrong, dark comedy.

Admittedly I did watch it because it was Simon Pegg, And I'm glad I did, I wasn't expecting it too be as good as it was because I hadn't heard of it until recently but I found it well worth watching, good acting, great dark humour and a good story. A couple of loose ends were left but nothing major.

A short, dark and enjoyable film. Its a bit of a departure from what you usually to ex[ect to see of the 2 main leads and to be fair Simon Peggs American accent tends to grate after a while But the bizarre characters and storyline are more than enough to keep you entertained

Really funny. Everything that a crook could do wrong on a big blackmailing scheme happens. Like when they forget to cover their face with a mask when with their hostage. As the film goes on it gets a little gruesome with a bit of blood. But a great comedy/horror to watch.

Another one of those 'why did I rent this?', but after reading several reviews I resigned myself that it wasn't going to be great... Well, I was wrong - it is actually pretty good, lots of surprises and twists and intriging storyline. I wouldn't make it a top choice film, but certainly pop it on your list - for once Pegg doesn't steal the show.

This film really disappointed me, yes, its got Simon Pegg, but it could have been so much better. As far as I can tell, all the shots were in the dark so the filmmakers could pretend they were in the US instead of Wales. the Isle of Man or where ever they filmed it.

I'm giving this DVD full marks because it has been a long time since I saw a film that gives me so much to laugh at. Beside Schwimmer, Roger and McElhone, I have never heard of the rest of the cast, but I think they all acted very well and would certainly like to see more of them in other movies. Also, more quality productions like this from Jean-Baptiste Andrea will definitely be welcome.

The clue is in the title....it really was a 'Big Nothing'. Certainly not one of Simon Peggs' greatest moments.

The best comedies have a ) a good story b ) believable actors and lots of bits which make you laugh......this movie had none of these. Absolutely nothing worked here ( apart from the blonde babe who is really cute ) . It was like a 2nd rate My Name Is Earl but is really not in that league. I switched off after 54 mins.

Stumbled over this film as I did not know anything about it but with Simon Pegg it had to be good and slightly goofy. It was - always great to watch films Simon is in and this one did not disappoint (although the ending could have been better) - fun and a little taxing - great stuff!

I remember Pegg and Schwimmer plugging this film on Jonathan Ross and couldn't wait to see it. Unfortunately, the trailor was probably the best bit! The film is so slow to get going and so unrealistic, it is frustrating to watch.

Disappointed in this film, as I was expecting comedy with Pegg & Schwimmer - there wasn't any comedy moments. I switched off half way through.

Struggling writer needs money, takes call centre job, meets man with blackmail scheme, gets fired, blackmail scheme goes wrong. Black comedy with a slight Coen Brothers feel to it. It isn't anything that new but a few laughs & it's always hard not to like Simon Pegg & David Schwimmer. Alice Eve is also very good & with it's running time being quite short, worth a watch.

After Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, if you wondered whether Simon Pegg had been in anything that was anything less than great then this film is the answer. Very poor.

I love films with Simon Pegg but this was diabolical, so bad I gave up watching. The comedy was limited and the story line was terrible. If you enjoy watching Simn Pegg do not watch this - it will leave you wondering where it all wnet wrong, not a match on Run Fat Boy Run or Shaun of the Dead.

I actually turned it off and posted it back after about an hour. Complete rubbish from the outset. Don't waste your time.

Terrible waste of talent in a predictable and unfunny movie. Terrible writing by the writers winking at you that this has been terribly written, Avoid.

Very good film, great acting from both Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer and a very surprising story line, nothing in this film you would of expected. I say this is not a film to ignore. very funny.

If I could work out how to give this lame film 'nil points' then I would. THIS IS REALLY POOR! Shame on you, Simon Pegg.

This is not the typical Simon Pegg, David Schwimmer movie...it is actually a drama with hints of black comedy...now, this is no masterpiece but i quite enjoyed it...loved the script and the acting...basically cause im a huge Pegg and Schwimmer fan...but even if youre not..this is a very good film...

OK there are snips of Fargo in the film but its still worth a watch! It's quite easy going, doesnt tax the brain and gives a few good laughs. I normally have a rule whereby films under 90mins I steer clear of, however I now have another film (Phonebooth was the first!) which I will allow to move out of this box!

Great fun this one. A story thats gets its chararcters involved with every twist and turn they make. A lot of that kinda shock violence you get from Simon Pegg - Shaun of the Dead. But its all pretty harmless and keeps you guessing until the end.

expected much better with the comedy stars of this film. hard to get into and dull.

Big fan of Simon Pegg. Unfortnatley this film is a Big Nothing. No laughs, No decent story, No interest.
