I was not so sure on how well the director could handle a comedy ( He is not exactly known for that!), BUT 10 minutes into the show and all my doubts were dispelled! This is a superb comedy, and you should watch it for Arshad Warsi's acting. Great family movie. Soon to be made by Hollywood starring Chris Tucker from the 'Rush Hour' movies.

This movie is certainly not as good as is made out, it is merely watchable. Like the majority of hindi films the storyline is unrealistic, contradictory and at times just damn stupid.

This has to go down as one of the best comidies to come out of Bollywood. Sanjay Dutt stands head and shoulders above the rest of them. Brilliant acting, good storyline, laughter all the way 5 out of 5!!!!

One of the best comedy movies which can be enjoyed by the kids from 8 to 80 years. Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani are at their best. Gracy Singh also did nicely.

What can i say about this movie, it was the best comedy film i have seen in a long time. SANJAY DUTT has played a excellent role as always. This movie really cheers you up and makes you foget all your worries, if the think the last scene was the best you better believe the next on is even better. ARSHAD WARSI has also proved he is a great actor in this film, This film no only makes you laugh but makes you cry without you realisingyour crying because after each emotional bit comes the best comedy line you have heard. Wonderful film and Wonderful cast. I could go on forever but in short a WONDERFUL film. I defenaitly recommend it to anyone Who needs cheering up, trust me you will forget all you problems because the guy to help you forget is MUNNABHAI MBBS. Enjoy.

My son absoultely loved this film. It's got silly comedy in it all the way through. It's too long but it made me laugh out loud.

excellent comedy by sanjay and arshad.

Having heard good things about the film, I was quite keen to see it. There are some good comedy moments but this is classic Hindi fare in lots of ways. The film is a bit overlong and in typical Bollywood style lays it on a bit too thickly when it comes to the emotional scenes. I watch only a few Hindi films a year and had been led to believe that they were getting a tad less OTT but it appears, at least here, that that is not the case. The old themes of respecting your parents and keeping them happy are over-elaborate and unneccsarily melodramatic. There are the makings of an excellent comedy here but this does not quite get it right. It will be fascinating to see what Hollywood does with this premise. The guy playing Circuit is amusing. The dean's vendetta is not quite credible. Sunjay Dutt's performance is laudable and Gracie Singh has that appealing girl next door look but the scenes where Munna is described as God are hard to swallow. Plus this over-emphasis on hugs as a cure and the overlong upbraiding of the dean by his daughter and the miraculous recovery of a persistent vegetative patient are predictable and dull. Again, typical Bollywood. In conclusion, something good if you approach it as brainless escapism and leave your reasoning behind, i.e. tremendous suspension of disbelief. Seen better, seen far worse.

This is a good famil feel good movie, but i would not say a comedy. Some laughs, but few. Far fetched plot, but good light stuff for the family. Cannot see why this family has been so popular?

The film has some sceens which can be classified as a comedy ; but deffinately no the whole film. Its an indian version of Patch Adams; and works on the apathy of the medical college systems

Not QUITE the usual/typical story. Good bit of comedy. I think it flopped at cinema but I thought it was pretty good!

Good comedy which was at times,irritating, due to over-acting by Boman Irani. Arshad Warsi was great as Sanjay Dutt's sidekick. There were also some serious moments in the film which were very well done. Good all-round entertainment

A lighthearted medical comedy. A mix of Back To School and Doctor in Love. Musical numbers were apt and enjoyable, humour was good, and the film wasn't too long.

Excellent film, very funny, some good comedy acting from Sanjay Dutt. No unnecessary scenes, worth watching.

I thought this was quite a funny movie although one thing did put me off slightly. As a British-born Indian, I am not fluent in Hindi and so, from time to time, i like to use subtitles to understand everything. However, the copy i was sent had French subtitles and this definitely hampered my viewing experience because I had to keeo asking my parents what was going on. Other than that, I still enjoyed the movie and, should you not need subtitles, i would definitely recommend it :)

An absolutely fab film with great storyline and music. It was great to see the father and son in the same film. My children and I own a copy and it is watched many times - a real family film that all can enjoy with brilliant comedy. A good job done by all.

Munabhai MBBS is a very funny good film to see as a family. I think we enjoyed particularly coming from a medical background, but I think everyone can enjoy such a light and cheerful film. Classic comedy for all of the family!

The sequel (Laage Raho) has a better storyline. This was great nevertheless.

Absolutely brilliant - a must-watch with excellent comedy and messages. One of the best movies of all times.

excellent comdey film i really like it

I don't usually watch Indian films as i find most of them boring - always the same boy-girl formula - but i really enjoyed this film. It's funny, well acted, well directed, has little messages to address Indian stereo types - truly a gem.

if this movie had been a completely original script i would have given it 4 stars, but because parts of it are a copy of Patch Adams, that takes off a star. the other star is gone because, towards the end, the 'cabaret' song spoiled its cleanliness, making it a movie u cant watch with youngsters...it was an unnecessary song, dull to boot, and in fact most of the songs in this film are unnecessary...however, the main characters all acted well, and it was funny too, which for an Indian movie is a rare accomplishment, most Indian movies having tasteless, tacky humour...all in all, not a bad way to spend an evening.

This was a very good comedy sanjay was good in this, its about a ganster that has lied to his parent telling them he is a doctor, and when ever they vist he sets up a fake surgery to fool them, but this time he fails to & and attempts to become a real doctor. calamities persue, trust bollywood not to leave a comedy as a comedy but the heart warming ending was fine with me! :p

very poor film in all respects. worst script and i still dont understand how did it get critics award. if there was zero stars option i would ve selected that

it is funny at times but not very interesting.

Lots of jumpy moments, sarah michelle gellar looks good but thats it. No proper conclusion, twists or anything. A substandard version of 'The Ring'. I am sure the Japanese version is much better.
